The surname Mayya falls under a sect of Brahmin Community called Kota Brahmin, which has its roots from Saligrama, a place near Kundapur in Karnakaka.
My father, Mr KM Radhakrishna Mayya is a Professor of Mathematics in SDM First Grade College, Ujire. After completing his Masters in Science [M.Sc] with Mathematics major, he started working in a Private Bank (Dhanlakshmi Bank) as Officer for 7 years. He worked in a Tuition centre as a part time Lecturer along with his bank job. Later he plunged into teaching profession completely, shortly after I was born.
My Mother, Mrs Veena Mayya is the Proprieter of a DTP office in Belthangadi. After completing her Masters in Arts she opted for Self Employment. Now she is a successful Entrepreneur.
My dear sister, Sushira is currently in her 9th grade. She is a gifted dancer, a good actor, a good singer and a sportsperson.
