The information technology industry has become not only an important segment of the Indian economy, it has also become an integral part of our society and our daily life. While everyone is familiar with some of the success stories of IT companies and entrepreneurs, there are many fascinating stories and historical accidents in the way the industry has come into place both in India and abroad.
IT is also a field wherein new terminology, buzzwords and acronyms are created and popularized on a daily basis. Many of them rapidly become the part of what we consider general knowledge. There is currently no book that serves as a handy reference for interesting facts about the IT industry. Raveesh has done a wonderful job of putting together a wide variety of terms and interesting pieces of IT history in this book.
The book is at the same time both informative and entertaining. It should be very useful to a serious general knowledge seeker, an aspiring quiz champion as well as general readers who want to familiarize themselves with the fascinating field of Information Technology.
