• Infosys Technoogies, one of the leading software developent and IT services company recruited me on the 1st day of Tier 3 placement process in PESIT. I couldn't make into Wipro VLSI (a core company) on 7th July. So getting into Infosys was mandatory for me. But the selection procedure was not as smooth for me as I had expected.

<01 Jul 2008 > Microsoft Go-A-Live Challenge

• Go-A-Live challenge is a website design contest conducted by Microsoft. A team of 3 members from PESIT (Ashwin Kumble, Elvis and Myself) have registered for this contest to make our campus Go-A-Live. Unfortunately this contest fell in the fag end of the semester where we have exams, exams and only exams. We put in a sincere effort to develop the student website for PESIT.

<23 May 2008 > Road Trip to Remember

• Everyone in Hoysala Trust Boys Hostel (my hostel) are adventurous. We decided to go on a 500 km road-trip from Bangalore to Bandipur and back. We also visited Himavad Gopalaswamy Hills, Nanjangud, Chamundi Hills, Backwaters of KRS Reservoir etc on our way.It was fun, damn fun.

• Imagine a world where technology enables a sustainable Environment is the theme for this year's Imagine Cup. The SDI (software development invitational) National finals was held in Bangalore on 9th May 2008 where 8 best teams of India competed to secure a flight to Paris for the Imagine Cup International Finals.

• Mr Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman Microsoft India, Mr Tarun Gulati, COO, Microsoft India, Mr RK Misra, Lead India Campaign, Mr Kiran Karnik, ex-president of NASSCOM, Mr Sameer Barua, Director IIM Ahemdabad, Dr. Gopichand Katragadda (GM - Operations, GE Global Research Bangalore), Rajdeep Sahrawat (Vice-President, NASSCOM) Prof. S. Sadagopan (Director, IIIT-Bangalore) and Paul Murphy (Director of Innovation, Microsoft India) were a few of the eminent personalities who were present for the National Finals.

<08 Mar 2008 > Arduino Workshop

• Arduino is a Open-Source hardware and software platform to aid physical computing, robotics etc. On behalf of Techsouls, a startup by 5 passionate engineers from NIT-K, a hands-on-labs/workshop on Indian version of Arduino, the FLEXI had been organized in PESIT. As a part of the workshop, the participants were asked to do some innovative project on the FLEXI board.

<29 Feb 2008 > Judging a Mega Dance Competition

• I had been invited as a Judge for a Mega Dance event conducted by Sindhi College, Hebbal on behalf of their Intercollegiate college fest, Crescendo 2008.  There were about 22 teams, each team doing better than the rest.

• I danced to a Bollywood number (Mauja hi Mauja from the movie Jab We Met) at the end of the Dance competition.
